Your conditions. Your colors. Right inside your lists.

Three steps to your first highlight.

Start on your own Odoo site.

Pin the extension

Click Chrome’s Extensions puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar. Find Better Lists for Odoo and click the pin beside it.

Its icon will stay in your toolbar for easy access.

In Chrome’s Extensions menu
Better Lists for Odoo

Enable your Odoo site

Open your Odoo site and click the Better Lists toolbar icon. Choose Enable on this site & reload, then allow access when Chrome asks.

Save any unfinished edits first: this reloads your Odoo tab. Enable each Odoo site you want to use.

Right-click a cell

Open an Odoo list, such as Sales → Orders. Right-click a cell and choose Create Odoo formatting rule.

Name your rule, choose its condition and colors, then click Save rule. The field you clicked is selected for you.

Choose what gets colored

Select One cell or Entire row. The Cell setting chooses where the color goes; the condition’s Field chooses what to check. Tick background color, font color, or both.

Combine conditions. Set the order.

Use All conditions match for AND, or Any condition matches for OR. Move rules up or down to set priority: put your more specific rules first.

A few useful details

Keep your lists
working your way.

Where do I manage my rules?

Click List rules at the bottom right of your Odoo page to edit, reorder, disable, or delete a rule. Pause rules temporarily stops highlighting for the current account.

Show all rules, next to Import rules, lets you browse saved rules with a site dropdown. Open the corresponding site and account to edit them.

Can I highlight customers and dates?

Yes. For example, use Customer → Contains → a customer name. Relation fields match their displayed text, so keep that column visible. Date conditions support calendar days and options such as “within the last N calendar days.”

Why don’t I see the right-click option?

Check that the extension is enabled for this site. Open a standard Odoo list and right-click a data cell. If you just reloaded or updated the extension, refresh your Odoo tab after saving any unfinished work.

Where are my rules saved?

Use the Sync checkbox on each rule to choose Chrome sync or local storage. New rules default to sync, and both kinds appear together in your rules list. Sync uses the same Google account with Chrome sync enabled, separately for each site, database, and Odoo user. Site access must be enabled separately. They do not change your Odoo records. Use Export rules to keep a backup, and Import rules to add rules from a saved file.
